About Kyra
I am a premed student in the Commonwealth Honors College at UMass Amherst graduating in spring 2021. I am creating my own major that integrates the fields of Physiology, Neuroscience, and Cellular Biology and have extensive background in Biochemistry, Biology, Anatomy, and Psychology. I have maintained a high GPA throughout college and plan to attend graduate school after a gap year. I am currently conducting an honors thesis in the Biology department on neurodegenerative diseases, focusing on the connections between brain regions affected and clinical presentation of each disease.

I base my lessons on what I have learned in Biology throughout high school and college and aim to give lessons to anyone at a college level, or below. I understand the complexity of these fields and confusion that comes along with trying to comprehend the extensive information. I will work with each individual to find his/her most effective learning style and shape lessons around this. Through my style of teaching I use a variety of resources to help students visualize particular mechanisms while facilitating discussion for a better understanding of each topic.
