About Elyas
I have been tutoring for the past 3 years, and have had very encouraging results.
I've tutored two A-Level economics students, whose grades improved considerably before exams;
One German GCSE tutee who went from a predicted B to an A*;
Two year 10 Maths students, one of whose mock exam grades improved from a D to an A, the other from an A to an A*;
Two 11+ entrance examination students, one of whom achieved a place at St. Paul's Girls School, while the other is yet to sit his exams but also well on the way to gaining a place at a top independent school.

I'm a second-year LSE undergraduate student and have been tutoring pretty consistently for the past 3 years, with around 150+ hours of tuition completed. I focus mainly on Maths, Economics, German and Geography up to and including A-Level. I'm fluent in English, German and Farsi, and conversationally proficient in Italian and French. I believe the key to success in any subject lies within the confidence of a student's foundational knowledge - subsequent learning and development comes primarily from inference of understanding. As such I place considerably more emphasis in tailoring lessons to cement a student's grasp and understanding of the subject as opposed to mindlessly constantly running through exercises - I see these as supplements and tests, not methods of teaching.
