About Dr Roop
I'm a licensed-track veterinarian based in Tracy, California, currently completing my ECFVG certification (AVMA pathway to US veterinary practice) — having already passed both the BCSE and the NAVLE, the same national board exam every US veterinarian must clear. This means my clinical and scientific foundation meets the exact standard American vet schools and licensing boards require. I hold a BVSc & AH and a Master's in Veterinary Anatomy (minor in Veterinary Surgery) from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), one of India's top veterinary institutions, along with published research experience that sharpened my grasp of evidence-based science. I specialize in tutoring Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Pathophysiology, and Biology — for high schoolers in AP Bio, college students in A&P courses, and pre-vet/pre-med students prepping for competitive exams (including the NAVLE, MCAT-adjacent biology, or vet school prerequisites). Having personally passed the NAVLE, I know exactly what these exams test and how to teach toward real understanding rather than memorization. My approach centers on the "why" behind every concept, adapted to how each student learns best.
