About Barbara jean

Hi, I’m Barbara Jean — wife, mom, homeschool teacher, Lolli (grandma), and your biggest encourager when it comes to picking up a paintbrush! With over 10 years of experience teaching acrylic painting, I’ve helped hundreds of students—from complete beginners to confident creators—discover the joy of art. Whether it’s a summer camp for kids, a relaxing adult class, or a fun-filled paint party, I specialize in making art feel doable, fun, and deeply rewarding. I believe in: Clear, step-by-step instruction that makes painting approachable Creating a warm, welcoming environment where everyone feels at home Helping students build real skills and confidence — one brushstroke at a time The truth that “There’s an artist inside of everyone” — yes, even you! My classes are rooted in years of hands-on teaching, a heart for people, and a deep belief that art connects us — to God, to ourselves, and to one another. If you’re ready to try something new, rediscover a lost passion, or just take time to relax and create, you’re in the right place. I’ll guide you with patience, encouragement, and a whole lot of joy. Come paint with me — and let’s create something beautiful together.

About the lesson

I specialize in teaching real people just like you — beginners who’ve always wanted to paint, and those who are ready to grow their creative confidence.

Here’s what makes my classes different:
Over 10 years of teaching experience in acrylic painting, art camps, and paint parties
Step-by-step instruction designed for everyday people — no fancy art degree required!
A warm, encouraging atmosphere where mistakes are just part of the magic
Christian-based inspiration woven in (for those who want it) — because art is a gift from God
You’ll actually finish beautiful paintings you’re proud to hang on your wall (or give as gifts!)

I’ve taught hundreds of happy students, from homeschoolers and moms to retirees and complete beginners — and every single one walked away saying:
“I didn’t think I could do this… but I did!”

You don’t need talent.
You don’t need experience.
You just need a willingness to try — and I’ll take care of the rest.

Come paint with me. You’ll be amazed at what you can create.
