About Ryan
I have been tutoring students since the second year of my undergraduate degree. My students have ranged from a precocious nine year old to an inquisitive seventy year old and many ages in between. They all praised my teaching style for introducing the fascinating aspects of the subjects and inspiring them to learn more about it in their independent time. I am fully up-to-date with the current syllabuses of the GCSE and A-Level qualifications and will remain so throughout any changes to come.

I'm a fourth year undergraduate physicist at Imperial College London on track for a high first class honours degree, i.e., an MSc in Physics and graduating in 2018. I've taught maths and physics to students of all ages (I've once taught a seventy year old gentleman who, after his retirement, decided to learn several things that he hadn't done before, including the piano and physics).
The way that I tutor is to cover not just the whole of the syllabus of a specific course but to go beyond that and try to show my tutee the real world applicability of the subject. This is because it is my firm belief that students will progress further and faster if they understand the purpose of learning any subject, not just in maths and physics but in any subject that they want to pursue in life. Having taken a lot of interest myself in the philosophical implications of quantum physics, I'm sure I can get you, my student, to be fascinated by the subject.
The nearer you get to the exam the more past paper style questions I will get you to attempt in both the lesson and, if you would like, as homework. The more you do as homework, the more time will be available for attempting more challenging questions in the tutorials- these will involve more problem solving type questions, which are more similar to those you would encounter in the real world or at university.
