About Juli

Most musicians struggle because the path is rarely a straight line. My own route was incredibly messy, yet that history allows me to connect with students who feel stuck in their own creative loops. I focus on power chords, scales and modes, and reading tabs to simplify complex ideas.

I handle improvisation and soloing alongside ear training to ensure the instrument makes sense. Working on lead guitar and barre chords requires a specific kind of patience that I offer daily. I find that I work best with students who already know a lot and just want the last stubborn bit fixed, though the reality is that sometimes we just keep going until it clicks.

About the lesson

Sometimes I lose the thread of a song just like anyone else. Since I graduated from USC, I have learned that making the invisible steps visible is the only way to teach effectively.

We keep a running record of what has landed and what has not so that we never repeat the same mistakes twice. This process is supported by 9 years of playing where I realized that you should sing to play instead of playing to sing. We focus on a monthly recorded review of progress which acts as a 9.0 benchmark for your technical growth. If you feel like coming by for a checkup, just let me know.
