My sessions are tailored to help you reach your goals as a learner, whether that is securing the grades you need for further study or building your confidence in a subject. As well as teaching subject knowledge, I have an emphasis on practicing exam technique and learning "transferable skills" that you can take forward into any other studies and the workplace.
Hello, I'm kirsty I'm a post graduate student at the university of Sheffield. Currently studying for a PhD in chemistry and molecular biology. I want to share my passion for chemistry by encouraging pupils to get into science. I am currently working part time as an academic tutor. Previously I have tutored AQA and OCR A-level chemistry, as well as GCSE triple science.
I plan tutorials which reflect the student's level of understanding, with all tutees having access to notes, including suggested exam questions, which they can annotate, or use as a memory-aid following the tutorial. A focus on practice questions allows students to gain confidence with the exact problems they'll see in the exams.
My teaching method is to teach them modulas being done at school, ensure that the children read and memorise as homework and give them lots of practice papers to do.
I am 23 year old Graduate in chemistry and am looking to tutor kids up to the ages of 17 . I have tutored pupils in their GCSE's and below. From this have managed to help them to obtain their desired grades to go to the college of their choice. I will effectively listen to all pupils to help them maximise their true potential.
My teaching method begins with students reflecting on their strengths and weaknesses. This allows me to tailor their lessons personally and begin with focusing on their weaknesses to begin with. I also focus on instilling confidence in my students as I am aware of the academic pressure students face to perform well under exam stress.
I am an experienced individual in helping school students with their studies and course works. The aim is to make the concepts clear for the better understanding of the subject. I have attained the experience of providing lessons to the GCSE students, making me comfortable and confident in giving lessons to the both primary and high school students.
I have interest in learning, but a passion for spreading my knowledge. We have all been in that stage where school gets a bit of a pain. However, I was fortunate enough to have teachers who changed my perspective towards learning completely. Since then I have felt the urge to help others see it differently. This started with helping my friends and juniors.
I am a fully qualified Science teacher with a Dual honours degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Sheffield. I hold a PGCE and am currently completing a Masters in Education. I have innovative approaches to lesson design to support children in their learning of Science.
I can teach any student who wants to learn GCSE, KS3, KS2 and KS1 maths, Physics and Chemistry. I am a very friendly person with a calm and friendly approach; as I am a student myself I can understand the common areas students may struggle in.
I am a university student studying chemistry. I have studied science and maths based subjects at GCSE and A level. I have a few years of experience as a tutor and create lessons targeted to a students specific ability and learning style.
I primarily tutor to GCSE level but can teach to A-level privately. My lessons follow the format of: Theory, interesting application or use and exam practice to familiarise my students with the style of questions. I am a silly, energetic and passionate tutor who will push you to be the best you can be.
I want to give my tutees a new found confidence and love of learning. I feel that the education system can put a lot of pressure on students and I want to help to relieve that stress! I provide learning objectives to focus my lessons, and I encourage my students to think independently.
I am a student currently studying towards my degree in chemistry. I can tailor my teaching to you, however I find it most effective to teach towards examinations and to help highlight what you need to do to get the marks.
I have recently graduated with a BSc in chemistry, meaning I have recently been through the school system and have a reasonable idea of how to succeed. I am a patient and helpful person who is mainly aiming to help students at an A level or GCSE level in chemistry , biology, physics and maths.
I am 20 years old and have just completed my second year of study Physiotherapy Bsc in Sheffield. Having enjoyed study Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths at A level I'm looking to tutor School student in these subjects.
I have taught Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics to key stage 4. Physics to key stage 5. I have pursued an interest in Quantum Mechanics and would be helpful to someone wishing to test the boundaries of their understanding. I have taught in the State sector and a rather lovely private college in Croydon. I've had the privilege to teach very bright students on occasions.
I am happy to go though the content of a course if a student needs all-encompassing help on a subject (from GCSE to A-Level to Degree Level). I am also willing to go through pieces of homework or do practice tests with students wanting to prepare for exams. I am here to offer the knowledge I have acquired over my own studies to others in a friendly and clear way.
I assess the individual needs of the students I teach and work with them to put together a personalised package of tuition
Every students learns differently so my teaching is personalised to the student, using a multisensory approach. I have a friendly firm approachable manner.
I have just completed my first year at university, studying economics at LSE. I achieved 3 A*s at A level in Chemistry, Maths and Economics and 2 As at AS Level in Biology and Further Maths.
My approach is to identity the needs of the student and deal with each topic in a way they can relate to.
It is important to listen to the student and dynamically shift the lesson based on the needs of the individual. Questions will be set for the student to complete and hand back the following lesson. I will aim for a 50:50 split of going through solutions and problems the students have and raw teaching.
Giving advice on any part of the syllabus that the student needs help on. Looking at past papers and going over the experiments and key terms used in the exam whilst in a friendly and stress free environment.
I have no set method of teaching as I realise all pupils are unique and as such have differing needs and must be challenged in different ways. We will discuss what works best for you as an individual and using the information you provide we will create a learning environment which suits you.
My teaching method is to simply show my students the easiest and fastest approach to any problem.
I am a first year Chemistry student at Sheffield Hallam University. I enjoy all science and teaching and would love to help! I am offering reasonably priced GCSE science and maths and A level chemistry tuition. I am a strong believer that the best way to learn is through practice questions so most of my lessons will be practice paper based.
My teaching method involves approaching weaknesses in different ways to help improve understanding of different topics and using different materials and resources to consolidate learning.
I like to create fun and engaging sessions where I try and think out of the box to get the information across if the more conventional methods don't work. Different individuals learn differently and so I would try and alter the way I teach dependent on the learning style of the pupil.
I am studying chemistry at university. During high school math and chemistry were my strong point and also my favorite subject. I help my friends out when they ask for help. My method for teaching it going over the content and examples with the student. After that I will go over different types of question with them until the student understand how to do the question.
