My teaching will be based purely on the syllabus of the student, but I can possibly do further work and tutoring for more advanced students. I can do one to one revision sessions covering coursework and exam papers to suit the type of tutoring needed.
I prefer to teach the students what they want to know. I do this as I believe students learn best when what they are learning interests them. My lessons will start off with questions about anything the student may want to know from a previous lesson or just in general. Next a short introduction will be made into the subject that will be taught.
I currently help a few pupils with GCSE and Primary school level maths and so far these pupils have come on leaps and bounds. My teaching method is to first bullet point key areas that will be in the exam. Go through each topic throughly, giving step by step examples with every question. If something is said to be difficult, break it down even further. I prefer writing out what is taught as I beleive visually seeing the work done will give a better understanding.
