I am hoping to teach up to GCSE level. I can help with any topics and will base lessons around what you find difficult. I am a calm and patient friendly person who will explain everything in as many ways needed to help you to understand.
Student led with a twist. Following your own development path and aspirations, exploring topics of interest that have relevance to your field of study are key for understanding and most important retention of knowledge. Some seek specific help to direct cope with examinations, some want to help those around them. Whatever your goal is give it a try.
I am a student studying in the UK. I give lessons to GCSE and AS Level students. I am an experienced tutor, as I have been giving face to face tuition for the past 2 years. I have recently graduated with a First Class Masters degree in Maths, so I am able to tutor school students in Maths and Statistics. Additionally, I am able to tutor undergraduate and masters students, with a focus on statistics modules rather than pure maths.
I will focus on the topics that students struggle with by using their stronger topics to explain it. I will not pressure my tutee by constantly explaining the same topic. Instead, I will go over a range of topics and ease them into figuring it out by themselves.
I have recently graduated from University of Physics with a degree in Physics. I have had experience of tutoring for A-level students and my University peers. I aim to offer an interactive, friendly teaching envirnoment. I utalise my experiences and methods learn't from previous teachers I've had to maximise the amount my students can learn in the time slot.
I believe the best way to improve in mathematics is through practice. For this reason I will provide many examples for your child to try allowing my to learn where your child's strengths and weaknesses lie. Through this method your child can improve efficiently and effectively. For younger students, interactive games can be used to help retain attention.
I am just about to begin year 13 (upper sixth) so I am very aware of all the different methods of teaching that I have experienced throughout my school career. I am also very aware of the things I find most effective and things that don’t work for me.
I would normally ask students to bring a topic or any questions from a topic they have found difficult. I would discuss the basis of the topic with the students and go through more questions within that topic to ensure they gain a full understanding.
I like to begin by judging whether the student is at, i.e. what level they are currently working towards and the improvement they would like to make and how likely they are to make such an improvement. I start by seeing their basic understanding of concepts and particular topics, for example Poetry within English, before working towards improving this understanding.
Hello! My name is Nisha and I am a newly qualified teacher. I have worked and studied in Central London obtaining my degree in PGCE Secondary Mathematics. I am passionate about Mathematics as I have studied this at university level obtaining a first in my degree with plenty of experience of teaching and tutoring.
I am a strong believer in fun, engaging, active learning experiences to stimulate children's love for learning and natural curiosity. I am young and fresh which enables me to fully engage with children of all ages successfully! I have a love and passion for maths.
I am a Maths and Statistics student at Lancaster University, who has just finished his second year on a high 2:1. I am looking to give maths tuition to GCSE and AS students in the Rushcliffe borough, preferably around the Radcliffe and Bingham areas. I've always had a keen interest in mathematics and have spent much time helping my peers get an understanding of various mathematical areas.
I can adapt to many different teaching methods including discussing past papers and then focusing on topics which seem to be an issue and can provide work tailored to suit each student the best way in order to build confidence
My main concern whilst teaching is to make sure that I am tailoring it as best as possible to my student(s). With a subject like maths, it's important that I am patient, as well as consider that everybody learns in a different way. I like using many different methods such as problem sheets, written exercises, interactive computer programmes etc.
I will focus sessions on what the student is struggling on or what they feel the least confident in. I also have access to a large quantity or revision resources.
