Hi, I'm Chris and I am a fully qualified teacher of Physics with great passion and enthusiasm for the subject. I always endeavour to relate topics to current events and give them real life context to make it more engaging and memorable for students. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Biology, Chemistry and Maths up to GCSE, Physics and Applied Science up to A-level.
I prefer to focus primarily on what my student has already learnt but is still confused and unsure, so I can help them to understand the content and stay up to date in classes. I prepare examples, definitions and exam questions to prepare them for any tests at school. I also enjoy teaching with a practical approach to those who are more hands on learners.
I believe in teaching the child not the curriculum. In doing so, I find ways that my students enjoy learning and use their interests to plan lessons. Lessons involve an input, practical work, written work, and a short review or quiz so that students can show me their comprehension of the work done.
I am a postgraduate Chemistry student and am looking to teach GSCE and A-level student maths and Sciences. I am an experienced tutor, having given classes both formally and informally, and am passionate about both learning and passing on my knowledge. My teaching philosophy is simple: practice makes perfect.
I am a 3rd year undergraduate mathematics student, available to give private tutoring from primary school level up to undergraduate mathematics students in the first two years of their degree.
I beging the lesson with a thorough explanation of the topic, give a couple examples, reinforce the knowledge with questions and then end with a short summary and a couple difficult puzzles.
I am an enthusiastic primary tutor who enjoys teaching; I cover all parts of the curriculum and over the past two year’s tutored 16 children from Year 1 to Year 6. I specialise in Maths and English, and for the last two years have been preparing kids for the all important KS2 Year 6 SATS. I have also in the past year prepared few children for their 11 + exams.
I try to tailor my lessons around you. The first lesson tends to be a quick overview of the syllabus that you wish to pursue, and seeing where your strengths and weaknesses lie. After this the lessons focus on where you feel less confident, working from a variety of textbooks and past paper style questions to build confidence in each topic.
I've always believed that Maths should be enjoyable and accessible to all. My focus in teaching and tutoring is ensuring that any student I work with enjoys making progress in the subject. I work mainly with students at GCSE and A-Level however, also have experience is supporting prospective PGCE students working towards their numeracy skills test.
My teaching method is to use examples to give students a life-like approach to answering and solving questions. This is something that helped me specifically during GCSE.
I focus on the most difficult topic. I ask my students which topic they struggling with. I use different forms of presentation.
I base my classes on individual students need and capability.
I always start from fundamental concepts and build up from that. As I progress with the course I introduce inter-relationships between different topics and give numerous examples to illustrate this. I always ensure that any student is thoroughly familiar with key concepts , understands and can use them.
Having been taught multiple teaching styles to myself, I can test and adapt my teaching style to suit the student to make is as easy as possible to understand.
My methodology is to relate theory to practical everyday life experiences. Physics can sometimes be hard to get your head around, especially for younger ages. It is easier to understand how to apply the knowledge and theories if they can relate it to everyday life and understand why it's needed or what it's used for.
I give lessons to those high school students and a level student.
I teach olympiad level (Rmo, Inmo) maths . Mainly, I teach all topics from precollege mathematics and statistics and also higher level analysis( Real , Complex), Topology . I also teach for admission examination of Indian Statistical Institute and IIT. I also give test occassionally and regularly homework for my students.
I always prefer personalised tutoring. Identifying the needs of the individual to deliver tailor made teaching, helps me to improve the students grade. Personalised tutoring practice for me is a two way street, where I learn from the students to understand them as an individual.
I intend to address student with different background with real and feasible examples and actual applications of a mathematical subject and also I anticipate and focused on encouraging the students to promote their curiosity and desire to learn.
My teaching method is based on first theory, then an example, then progressively harder questions to allow students who are finding it easier to continue on to harder problems. I prefer students to see me more as a mentor than a teacher, i.e. I would prefer students to be more relaxed and comfortable around me as they are more likely to learn this way.
I have been known to be an exceptional tutor as I not only provide help with syllabus, I make Maths very easy to understand. I have a success rate unlike any other, and that's due to my vast experience and academic background.
I am a motivated and committed individual who thrives to achieve success and reach each individual potential needs. I teach a variety of subjects not only do I teach Maths and English to all ages including Esol for adults. I also teach dance, badminton and netball.
Engineering student doing masters in Petroleum engineering in university of salford, gives maths and chemistry lessons for O and A level students in Manchester. I have a passion in math and have always been dedicated to transfer my knowledge to students. Chemistry is another subject that I enjoy teaching.
I am a teacher with current enhanced DBS issued on 11 October 2018. My teaching style is interactive. In my first lesson, I conduct a general assessment of my students in order to ascertain their weak points and starting point of lessons. I work on their weaknesses, build them to the required educational standard and bring out the confidence level expected of them.
I am confident in Physics and Maths up to A Level, however, would prefer GCSE level. I will also fit the tutoring around the student and they're current lessons in school. I think I would be a great help as I 'am positive, patient and practical.
I am a friendly person who is always happy to help others when they need it. I love explaining stuff to people who don't understand stuff and i don't mind repeating myself.
I'm currently a third year physics undergraduate, and the president of my universities Physics Society! I'm looking to tutor students between GCSE and A level physics and mathematics. I tailor my explinations to the student to make sure they understand fully the work they're doing. I am very enthusiastic about teaching.
I prefer to teach Maths very practically by going through class examples and involving the whole class together so that the work is more understanding
My teaching method is to work on an area of weakness and to take out any previous misconceptions that students have, helping build a stronger solid foundation of knowledge. My lessons will last an hour and they will include taking away misconceptions, building knowledge and testing knowledge with exam style questions.
I break down each step and explain different ways of solving it that may be way easier
