I love teaching and have a particular passion for 1:1 tuition. My teaching is fun and I ensure excellent progression. I specialise in all primary subjects. Maths and English are the most common tutoring subjects but I can tutor in any.
I approach each student differently. I begin with a topic they understand and use different teaching techniques to see what is most preferred by my students, then go on to sorting all the topics and making plans and lessons based on that exact style they had chosen. (i.e.
I cater for all ages and abilities by differentiating learning to suit the individuals' needs. Initially, I breakdown areas of study in to a personalised plan for the student. Questions they have previously been unsuccessful in answering are useful to help identify areas they need to improve. During sessions we discuss their understanding and then complete problems together.
BSc in Physics and Astrophysics from the University of York as well as an MSc in Renewable Energy Engineering from Newcastle University.
I teach through practical, fun and memorable lesson approaches. I ensure that my teaching helps children to not only enjoy learning but to remember everything taught.
I will teach you maths by doing different type of questions. I will help you to convert hard questions to easy questions.
I take into account what we are studying for and change my teaching method accordingly, some things are easy to just remember others you need a little jingle for
Provide worked examples to enable understanding going step by step with the student. This will provide knowledge on the technique used to solve the generalised problem, before providing further questions to test the student’s ability to use initiative in providing solutions.
I have worked at a tutoring centre before and an able to show effective tutoring techniques. I have a solid knowledge of most subjects up to year 10 standard.
I believe every student is different. In order to reach a higher mark, not only spending plenty of time on practices or tests, more importantly is to find out what your weakness is and tackle it through different methods. So you spend less time, but you can still be the best at school.
I have achieved an A* in mathematics at GCSE level, two A grades in Maths and Further Maths at AS-level, and am expecting two A* grades in Maths and Further Maths at A-level. My tutoring method is to ask students what they want from the session in advance, and provide challenging material based on the skills required for these topics.
Can offer slides on topics with exam questions to help practise as we go along.
I give lessons to children up to GCSE, to help prepare for exams and SATs, as well as yearly exams. My methodology relies upon praise, and allowing the student to reach their full mathematic potential. I use a range of different resources in order to fit to the students's learning habits, as I believe that everyone learns differently.
I'm quite a chatty and social person so I find discussion is the best way to overcome difficulties in maths. I like to sit and go through questions one by one with the student so i can explain in detail the areas they are struggling with.
My lessons will mostly be securing what you know by teaching you how i do things, or teaching you what you need to do for your exams. We will just reinforce your understanding, by practicing exam style questions or learning from examples.
ABOUT MY SESSIONS The structure of my sessions depends on the needs of the student. I can structure sessions in the form of content, so teaching you by asking questions of key terms etc and giving you the key points needed for your GCSE examination. I make effort to include exam questions into my sessions.
I approach a lesson with a focus on the student, taking time and care with topics and methods which they are not so familiar or confident with. I prefer to teach with a mentality of focusing on the skills which exams look for.
I am an Oxford University maths graduate and I am giving lessons in maths from GCSE level to A level standard. My lesson structure will consist of teaching the pupil a basic concept, showing them examples, getting them to try problems and then giving them more challenging questions once they get the hang of it.
My approach to teaching maths is to firstly establish the students skill level with certain subjects and attempt to improve upon them by taking them through model answers step by step. Once this is done they will answer questions of increasing difficulty until they are comfortable with the subject.
I am an A-Level student looking to help secondary school students to prepare for GCSEs or any end of module tests in maths. I am a visual learner and I prefer to teach using diagrams and visualisation, alongside practical activities and practice questions.
I believe that initially it is important to sit down with student to figure out their strengths and weaknesses before we start the tutoring so that I can prepare my materials accordingly. Then we will work on the theory of each of these topics and move on to practice questions because I believe that that is the best way to consolidate your understanding.
I aproach each topics by delivering the key facts/main points first and then build up on each topic with challenging questions which will require the application of the knowledge learned so that the students fully understand the topic. Additionally, I like to start with the basics and build up the difficulty level to push a students ability.
My teaching methodology is to examine the student first. Its really important to understand where the student currently stands in terms of his/her's maths knowledge. Also identifying student strength and weekness to let them know at which area they are excellent and at which we need to work more.
From over 16 years of education I have realized that the best way to learn most of mathematics and science is to constantly do practice questions. This provides three key benefits: - Firstly, it forces the student to constantly test their knowledge.
My teaching method will be specific to each student and will focus on exactly what skills they would like to develop, this will be discussed with each student individually.
I believe first it is important to understand the student mentality and develop a good relation with the student. I prefer the discuss the tropic from the bottom to understand the basic of the tropic and than jump to the main tropic.
Experienced, friendly, efficient KS2/3/4 teacher who has worked with special needs students. Can offer help with SAT and GCSE preparation as well as help with supporting adults and people who have English as a second language. Pastoral support also offered.
Hi! I aim to explain and teach topics that the students may not understand fully, or secure their knowledge in the run-up to exams and tests. I can vary my teaching to ways that suit the tutee, after all that's who matters most! I earned an A* in my GCSEs in Maths, as well as a B in Further Maths.
I am always keen to provide individualised and differentiated support for my students that are struggling with learning concepts and mathematical topics, presenting information in a variety of ways, emphasising relevance of class material to the world beyond the classroom.
My teaching is heavily based on solving problems. The quickest and (more importantly) surest route to understanding and proficiency is through practice. I also encourage a visual approach; for both memory and comprehension, visualisation has profound benefits.
