I teach by encouraging learning and understanding, as opposed to formulaic approaches or repetitiveness. I find it is always better to just try things and practice as opposed to going over theory again and again. I encourage exploration and the correct working situation; optimal conditions are a must.
I like to look at different ways of approaching questions and give exemplary answers to show pupils what the examination boards are looking for.

I have a patient approach with students, allowing them to have a go before offering input. Every child's learning capability is different, and so I treat them as that: an individual and base my teaching around their learning style.

- Classes Every child starts at a level that suits them, determined by a simple diagnostic test completed at enrolment. They then proceed to master topics at their own pace, before moving on to the next level. Kumon students are always working at a level that is just right for them. They are provided with work to be completed on a daily basis and come to class once or twice a week.
My teaching method is catered for individual requirements and I am able to provide a holistic approach to ensure I am able to pass my knowledge on in the most appropriate way.
I normally base classes at the knowledge level of my students Before starting I will take a test to see at what level they are to adjust the flow of teaching and conduct regular tests to monitor their progress The lessons are normally for students from GCE up to A-level With regards to computer programming it would be from beginner to mid-level
My teaching method is firat to see the level the student is at. The method will also change if preparing for a specific exam. I like to focus on the area the pupil finds most difficult as well as doing problems that build a stable knowledge of a maths/physics on which most problems are based. The key is to get the basics and work from there rather than jumping straight in.
My approach to tutoring is to build confidence and a can do attitude in my students. I then cover the foundation blocks upon which success is build. That's covering the basic topics and building upon them so students can see the links between topics.

Recieved 1st class masters degree from cambridge university in physics. Teach maths and physics from AS to undergraduate level, and can also assist with entrance exams. In lessons I like the student to direct to particular areas where there are problems that can be worked through together, but am also happy to give introductions to topics or overviews.
I prefer teaching in a classical way— on board. Whist teaching in a simplest and most acceptable way, I try to explain children why and how contrary to just solving the problems. I encourage them to ask questions and make it practical to learn, understand and remember the topic for ever.
I tutor maths to primary, secondary and GCSE students in Gloucester. I offer one-to-one sessions either at the students home or my own after school or on weekends - whenever is best for you. My tutoring is very student based as everybody in maths is different with what they struggle on since everyone approaches questions differently.

My results in Maths have always been great during my school years as well as during my undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees. I was helping others solving equations and doing Maths revisions. I can teach Maths up to degree level either face to face or online.
I am a student studying A-level mathematics, further mathematics, economics and politics in Sir Thomas Rich's grammar school, Gloucester. In terms of my methodology, I am unable to tell you how I teach as it varies based on the student.
I am currently a 4th year medical student at the University of Birmingham. I use a simple three step cycle of learn -> revise -> test to ensure knowledge is continually being reviewed through exam questions. A calm and adaptable approach ensures I can connect with my students.
I have given lessons to students undertaking their GCSEs, and aim to help them in areas of weakness as well as to help strengthen in areas they are already competent with. I am very flexible with my structure, as I tend to base it around the needs of the student.
My teaching method is to find the topic the child is struggling with and ask what they know about it. Then give them a few questions to see what they know. I base my lessons on what they are doing at school.
As a professional working in training and coaching, I can adapt my teaching to suit a number of different learning styles, and have an understanding of key learning theories and how to get the most from my students.
I like to approach the teaching and tuition of both maths and statistics by allowing pupils to gain an understanding of the methodology behind each topic and question type. I believe that once this is understood and mastered, pupils are able to face any question posed to them, inputting the given data set into the methodology that they know so well.
- Classes Classes are of a drop-in nature, and children typically attend for around 20-30 minutes per subject. There are 2 classes a week on Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning; children attend a minimum of one class per week but can attend twice a week. Children work independently on worksheets which have been tailored to their individual needs, and so there is no group-work at Kumon.
Each student is individually different, like I needed an alternate approach to teaching because of my better visual-learning ability, I will adapt my lessons to how the individual learns best. I also understand how important patience is when it comes to teaching so students will not be exposed to unnecessary pressure.
I prefer to teach with the more traditional pen-on-paper style, as I believe this translates best further down the line with regards to exam preparation. I also believe teaching one-on-one is optimal however I am capable of teaching small groups of 2-4.
I am a PhD qualified mathematician from M.I.T, 1998-2002, with knowledge of physics at the graduate level. I am currently living in Cheltenham.
