Learning maths is very much like a language. The key is the practise of specific methods so that the application of these methods to complex situations becomes second nature. My time will be dedicated to developing this mathematical confidence. My lessons will identify methods that perhaps my student isn't familiar with and find one which is more comfortable for them. I tend to use the example-practise approach of learning as I believe it to be the most effective way of building confidence very quickly.
I am a year 13 A-Level student studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry predicted 4A*s; Going on to study Theoretical Physics at Imperial College London in September. Achieved 6A*4As (equivalent) at GCSE including a 9 (Top 3.5%) in Maths. I have tutored dozens of people studying for the new GCSE and KS3 as I have personal experience with these exams having sat these exams relatively recently unlike many tutors out there.
