About Masarra
Hello! I would like to promote myself as a Piano and Singing teacher. I am immensely passionate about music, whether in regards to listening or performing, and my experience of in the realm of teaching has developed over the course of one year. Having Maestro qualifications for Piano and Singing (passing grade 8 with merit), I would like to put myself forward as a capable performer who is willing to teach aspiring musicians of all ages and enrich their abilities in a field I feel so passionately about. I am patient and enthusiastic. I diligently work to the best of my abilities to enhance my students' capabilities in regards to playing techniques, practising skills, performance abilities, notation reading abilities etc.

I believe that, as well as passion for playing, the essentials of piano playing are to have refined playing techniques which is why I like to develop that through extensive scales practice in order to warm up the fingers, with the correct posture and such. Having efficient practice methods is also crucial to properly learning the pieces. After tackling these essentials, I feel it's important to develop the expression in playing that fits to the character of each piece which must be taught in a personable way to every student. For singing, I believe that the proper breathing technique is essential in maintaining the core strength to sing easy and challenging passages. It is also crucial to know the singing range, which is different for every person and can vary from bass to soprano; it allows the singer to feel comfortable and perform to the best of their ability while staying in the limits of our vocal cords. It is also important to find the right style of singing for every person, whether it be jazz, classical or whatever they may like.

Perfect! Masarra has endless time for whoever she takes under her wing. She is not looking at the clock but focusing on her student with utter devotion and commitment. She will always listen and do her utmost to make the time you spend together as relevant and useful as possible.
