About Ryan
I wear many hats. I work as both a professor and a physician scientist. I trained in anatomical pathology and neuroscience at UCLA, and absolutely love teaching. When time permits, I usually have 2-3 students I tutor each semester. I find this to be more rewarding then the large classroom settings, because I get to know the students better in this format.

I love teaching and sharing my knowledge about science and medicine. I have taught students at all levels from high school to undergrad and graduate schools. Since the pandemic I have taught numerous students via zoom with great success. My goal is to help you understand the concepts, not just to get an A in your course, but so you carry the knowledge forward into your career. I am continually getting complements from students about my easy going and effective teaching style. Its important to keep learning fun as this greatly helps with retention.

Perfect! Having Ryan as a tutor while I took Physiology 1 was such a privilege. I looked forward to every session because I knew he was going to help me make better sense of whatever I was learning. He has tons of valuable insight as an accomplished scholar and experienced professor. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking help in biology, anatomy, physiology, etc.
