I base my teaching method off of skills I myself have been taught; breaking down essay writing into key sections, such as structure and the use of the PEEL technique, content, key themes of the text and language analysis. I would also be able to provide help with ongoing schoolwork and homework as needed to supplement learning.
Enthusiasm is key! If we both have the enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, nothing can stop us. I like to enjoy texts and really gain as much depth as possible, looking at all aspects of a text. Learning about words may sound boring, but can be such fun finding out their origins, synonyms, antonyms etc.
I ensure that I personalise my teaching approach to both the subject I am teaching and the student I am teaching it to. I spend a lot of time ensuring that my lessons are varied, enjoyable and, most importantly, able to help you progress towards your targets and beyond.
Hey! Thanks for having interest and reading.. I am currently an undergraduate and aspire to be helping young people that are going through the same academic challenges as i have gone past during my secondary school and GCSEs.
My teaching methods are based around the individual requirements of the student. Having a rigid and structured order is not always the best method, and therefore, lessons will be centred around the student's needs. There is a framework that will be adhered to, allowing the student to see their progress, checkpoint by checkpoint.
I use a combination method of resources and games to make learning fun, plus feedback from the student to ensure the learning is to their ability.
I let the student get creative, in English it’s very easy to be while sticking to the right answer.
My teaching method is working with each individuals ability and needs.
I am a student in my second year of university who gives lessons in english, literature, literacy and co. to primary, secondary, GCSE and AS level students. To teach, it is ideal to accept that people have different learning methods and I do my best to find which works best for my students.
My teaching method involves beginning with the topics you most struggle with, moving onto teaching exam techniques and skills needed for the exam. The topics taught are governed by you, as you know best your strengths and weaknesses; however, I am happy to go over anything you need.
I am a qualified medical doctor who also has a first class degree in human biology, I am passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge. I teach primary and secondary school children in addition to GCSE and A Level. I use a variety of methods when teaching to ensure that students fully understand concepts and can then apply their knowledge to problems and questions.
I base teaching sessions around the best teaching style for students in order to build up both academic ability and confidence
My classes are based on using stimulating literature and resources in order to gain the child's interest. I use contemporary teaching methods, a!ongside the more traditional techniques, such as repetition and using memory where necessary. I plan every lesson in accordance with the child's individual needs and am determined to improve their levels of confidence, leading to increased success.
When I begin tutoring a student, I begin by speaking with parents and the student in order to discover the topics that need the most attention (e.g. writing, reading, using key words effectively). Those topics will be covered first. The same would also apply for Humanities. I always begin a session with refresher activities that link the topics covered in previous sessions with new topics.
Sessions are built around student's needs and learning styles, so they are delivered in a way that ideally matches them.
