I am bachelor in Mathematics, I have some experience in financial investments. Nowadays I am studying Data Science. My teaching method is interactive, and iterative. I use laptop, books and paper, examples, exercises and problems for best results.
I can teach any area of A Level or lower mathematics, as I have completed this successfully myself. My way of teaching will adapt to each student but will generally try to make students as independent as possible by the end of the tutoring.
My teaching method is based on a personalised approach tailored to each student. I have studied teaching methodologies both when teaching English as a second language and through experience giving seminars in engineering fields in university. I also have been trained in certain coaching skills (NLP) and home tutored GCSE students during my second year of university.
I base my class approach on a case by case basis.
Provided I am informed in advance of the topic for an arranged lesson, I will give my time to prepare fully around it before the sessions. Normally in the sessions I give simplified explanations along with worked examples discussing with the tutee. During the sessions, I ask reasonably progressive questions to make sure the tutee can understand the relevant concepts.
My name is Charles Heffernan and I am a Physics undergrad student at Cardiff University. My lessons are geared towards GCSE and A Level students having previously tutored for students in the age ranged of 13-18 years old.
I believe in the gamification of my lectures and try to make things as simple as possible.
My classes will be different depending on the person that I am teaching to. I will try to focus his needs and interests to the context of the classes. With the aim to create more interesting and useful classes to each person. But without losing the learning purpose.
I personally prefer flexible teaching methodology. As every students are unique, the same teaching method may not be effective to all students. Instead of having a standardised teaching method, I tend to first understand the backgrounds of students (e.g. academic level, personality, learning ability) then apply personalised teaching methods to them.
Everyone learns differently, so I aim to first tackle the topics that make up the foundation of Maths & Physics then proceeding onto the exam questions. I like to reinforce learning continuously so subjects are not forgotten. I look to establish the lessons topic before hand and set out a worksheet so the student is familiar with the lessons agenda.
My teaching approach is to first find out all the topics the student needs help with and split each session to focus on an individual topic, putting emphasis on the areas where students struggle the most. I very much want to hear what the student wants most help with so I can provide them with the support they need.
I aim to give lessons to those up to University level.
I am currently studying English Literature at Cardiff University and have also studied Mathematics at the University of Bristol. I have a passion for both of these subjects and have experience teaching both. Lessons will be structured as an accompaniment to school lessons; covering the basis of a topic and then expanding understanding through examples and different explanations.
Step by step logical progressions underpinned by the Exam board specification for the subject and directed by your curriculum and areas you are currently covering or having difficulty with. I am patient, caring and meticulous in my work - I will put as much in as you do.
I am committed and motivating Maths tutor and offers maths lessons to pupils upto Key stage 3 ( both primary and secondary level ). I begin assessing the learner's strengths and weaknesses and will work with them in whichever way suits them best to increase their proficiency and confidence.
I am a fourth year Mechanical Engineering student at Cardiff University. I am able to provide lessons in Maths and Physics with the possibility of other subjects such as Geography and Chemistry up to a AS level standard. Having being through tuition myself I am provide a refreshing and young method of teaching which involves many different techniques tailored around the students needs.
Hey I'm a medical engineering student at Cardiff University, and on track for a first. At A-levels I did Maths, physics and Biology, achieving AAB. My approach to teaching is student depended, but I feel the best way to understand something that you find tricky is to approach It from a different angle, and what better way than with help from a tutor.
I base my classes on topics that the student is struggling with the most. From then on, I will go through the topics one-by-one in order of their weakest to their strongest. This is determined from the first lesson, which I use to base the following lessons on.
Hi there . I am currently a student of MBA and also, I have 2 yrs of work experience . I strongly believe that I can make people understand mathematics in an easier way as I’m keenly into teaching thing being a part of my hobby . I teach my fellowmates in my MBA class as well .
At school, I found studying for exams challenging, I'm not much of a fan of learning from books! I found the best way for me to learn was to try a range of practice questions and go through them with my teacher afterwards. This was particularly true for maths and using this method, I was able to achieve 100% in both GCSE maths papers which I took a year early.
I am currently working at Cardiff University on an industrial placement year as part of a BSc (Hons) Biology degree at the University of Manchester, a top Russell Group university. Throughout school and sixth form I participated in mentoring programmes, providing academic guidance to my peers for science and mathematics at both GCSE and A Level, with these students making considerable progress.
With mathematics and Physics the key is to learn how to think rather than memorizing some equations. That is my approach in teaching. I want to make sure that with what you take from my classes you will be able to solve almost any problem regardless of whether you have tackled a similar one before or not.
Perfect the basics and the complicated 'stuff' will follow. Mathematics is like a maze. If you enter the maze without knowing the first few turns, no matter how hard you try, you will only become more lost. Simplicity is key in Mathemnatics. Tackle each question clearly and ALWAYS draw diagrams.
I teach using handy flashcards, explanations and examples, and often provide brief notes sheets e.g. with equations. I will also go through any questions you are stuck on. I am very friendly and approachable so feel free to ask any questions and I will try my best to explain.
My nema is Zhe Cao, and I come from Beijing, China. I graduated from University of Arizona, USA. My major was Mechanical Engineering and minor was Mathematics. Iam postgraduate student in Cardiff University now. I am so good at mathematics. I have patient to understand students and find the weakness of the students. That's the reason why all my students respect to me and trust me.
I'm happy to teach Maths to anyone up to A-Level standard. I have experience with children from a young age and believe in making lessons enjoyable and relatable so the student is not worried about making mistakes or completing homework but rather feels comfortable with the subject.
If you are looking at completing GSCE's A-Level examinations or just want some extra help before then I am happy to help. I suffered from dyslexia at school but excelled in maths subjects and have experience teaching maths to all ages, levels and learning styles.
I plan to use my A for Math and Physics A-level to help students get the grades they need to get into the university of their choice by applying the same methods which have allowed me to prosper in higher education.
I'm a 2nd Year Physics student at Cardiff, I went to Sixth Form in Cambridge, and am very passionate about Maths, achieving an A* in Maths and a B in Further Maths at A level. I give lessons to GCSE, AS and A level students (Maths and Further Maths), provided the students are willing and eager to succeed.
I am an International student studying Mechanical Engineering at Cardiff Univesity, with a diploma from the International Baccalaureate (Maths Higher Level, Physics Higher Level) and iGCSE's. I aim to offer students new methods for understanding the subject that they may not have been taught by their school teacher.
