My preferred teaching method is to rush through the first example to demonstrate the method, then to go through a second example at a slower pace before allowing the pupil/s to go through a third example with help or prompting
I believe my teaching style involves finding a way to make the subject enjoyable, this really is the most important factor when attempting to learn mathematical concepts. KS2, GCSE and A-Level Maths exams are very much process based, almost wanting the student to think like a computer in order to get the only correct answer after some order of operations that are given in the question. My tutoring will mainly be covering all ends of what you may be asked on each topic and with enough rehearsal you will be able to answer any given question without serious thought.
I am a good tutor because I try and personalize the lessons to the individuals learning style. My teachings are based on a individual making you feel that you can relate, so that you are able to connect to the work, for it not be a task but hopefully fun!

I enjoy teaching in smaller groups, or one on one. This is just so I am able to spend adequate time with each student, making sure they are able to learn the topic we are looking at.
I do one on one and will start by seeing what you are struggling with the most. I will make sure all students are comfortable enough with me to feel like they can ask questions and learn comfortably! If a student if struggling on one particular thing I will make presentations and work through questions with them, to make sure they have a full understanding.

I use problem based learning, I find the best way to teach something is by example as fundamentally we all learn by doing. This philosophy has come from my experience as an oarsmen, rowing coach and ski instructor where you learn simply by doing it over and over again using slightly different exercises to allow you to feel any change you make. I believe this can be applied to academic tutoring.

We all know maths. Its surround us in everyday life. I love to help others. And I love to study maths. I think that earn knowledge without sharing with others is an empty knowledge. The chance to help somebody and shearing my experience with them, is giving me a lot of satisfaction and even more motivation to keep doing it.
In my sessions I encourage my students to have a go, and enforce that no question or answer is stupid. I believe answering problems and practising the theory is very important. If a student has a particular area of difficulty, then I will explain this to them in a way that they will understand, making abstract concepts become clearer.
I go through the different topics that need to be taught, making sure that extra time is spent on the areas my students struggle with, so that they have a better chance of gaining the higher grades.
