I enjoy helping students to achieve their potential and to understand mathematics. As exam results are crucial, I concentrate on past exam papers and will pass on tips for maximising marks. - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Mathematics from A level (including Further Maths), up to University level (especially Pure Maths).
I believe that breaking each topic down into very small chunks is the best way to teach maths, as the subject relies on step-by-step methods.
I try to understand any problems the student is having with aspects of the subject. The strategy is then to teach technique and methods for understanding and eventually passing examinations and project work. This can be done to suite the students learning style and requirements.
I want to help GCSE students get the best grades they possibly can and to do so structure my lessons based on what they need to learn the most.
I am an Msc Aerospace student who is always seeking for a bit of thrill in numbers and engineering. I currently enjoying tutoring some GCSE students and my previous group did quite well. My emphasis is on personal progression and positivity.
My teaching method is mainly based upon the use of homework (from the school) and past examination papers to help a child learn. The methods and concepts that are not understood will be discussed and worked on together, and I endeavour to aid the child to reach the answer on their own. When I feel they are capable, a past paper will be given to them where they receive no aid.
Based on previous experiences I find my effective teaching approach is to either practise and example together then allow yourself to run through a question and assist when you either cannot complete a section or do not understand it.
I teach by first giving a general overview of the subject, starting with the basics as they are the building blocks and I develop on them. I make sure the students are engage with me by asking them questions.

I approach each topic by understanding the need of the learner for that topic and writing a bespoke learning plan for the outcome.
A mathematician by profession, I have PhD in Maths and I am teaching and tutoring from past 6 years. I have experience with special needs children too. I do a thorough assessment of the student during my first session and then start building the knowledge base from there.

I understand everyone has different learning styles, and will tailor each lesson to what you want to learn. My lessons are engaging and motivating. Examples and explanations but with lots of practice.
I approach topics by building foundational knowledge first. I structure my lessons around short intervals with breaks to maximise retention. I am able to produce revision materials and help students develop efficient revision techniques with integral incorporation of scientifically proven methods such as spaced repetition along with many others. I can adapt my style to all types of learners e.g.
I want to know any problems my students are having with topics so I can explain and show my pupils how to overcome these problems. I think an easy conversation followed by me explaining the methodology is my most successful approach.
