The aim of my teaching method is to ensure my students understand the topics and become confident when tackling problems. I start at the beginning and simplify the problem or topic so it can be understood fully. I encourage students to ask questions to ensure they understand the topic.
Mine would be very hands on, walking you through the basics and walking you to a level where you would be confident with the whole course. I feel context helps with learning so a discussion of the course would be included as well as my own experiences with the experiments I may have performed that are related.

Hi, I'm a gap year student with an A in a-level maths, and would like to give maths lessons up to GCSE level. My aim is to cater specifically for the needs of each individual student and create an environment in which they can feel comfortable asking questions and for help so that I am able to aid them in improving their mathematical abilities and strengthen areas/topics of weakness.
I am extremely passionate about educating individuals and creating excitement around mathematics which sparks curiosity. Our first lesson will consist of a formative assessment which will aid identifying your strengths and weaknesses in the area of mathematics. An analysis of data will allow for a tailored programme to suits your needs and requirements.
I base my teaching classes on required syllabus, assignments brought by the student and any special request of the student at the time. However, I working at the pace of the student.
I have been teaching in the Primary, secondary and in the FE sector. I have a good source of experience. Excellent Lesson planning and different technique to solve problems. I have good interpersonal skills. I am polite and patient. I try to use different methods to solve math problems.
My approach is to go through each topic the learners have done in class(initial assessment ) and that will enable me to quickly identify their strengths and areas of improvement, afterwards we will focus on past exams papers which will become a formality after the learner has grasped all the chapters they have covered with me.
My teaching method is assessing the student to see which areas they struggle in and then once they have been highlighted I would then go on to focus more of my time on the areas they are not very comfortable with.
I base my classes on explaining the content thoroughly to the student and then by using assessments and tests on every topic, check the student's progress. And if still not a 100%, support the student in every way to make sure they completely understand the topic.
I am currently studying for a degree in physics at The University of Manchester and would like to share my knowledge of mathematics and science I have gained throughout my education with others. I teach using modelling of topics and allow students time to explore the concepts before discussion about the learning and then an opportunity to attempt an independent task (offering support when needed). Also, I ensure that the lesson is engaging for the learner.
I approach each method by what works best for the student as everybody learns in different ways. I provide a range of questions and focus on the ones that are consistently letting the pupil down.
My teaching method is to look at how each individual student tackles a question and explain topics in a way that is more catered to their particular style of learning. I also find that introducing some mini problems in a small starter type question to engage them, before getting started in detail on the topic really helps students to focus.
Most recently, I was head of a primary school, but maintained a strong teaching commitment. I personalise my teaching to the needs of the student and believe that the best results are achieved by making learning interesting and fun. I pride myself on being approachable and friendly.
