I base all my teaching on prior knowledge and the needs of my students to help them make progress and gain interest.
My name is Caitlyn, I am an Undergraduate Student studying Sport Science at Brunel University London. I have great experiance working with children of all ages through my role as an Outdoor Instructor and Scout Leader. I have great knowledge of Sport and Biology but am admirable with Physics and Chemistry. I have experiance of tutoring GCSE Biology and Mathematics with eye for details.
I've been tutoring since 1985 in Australia & Qatar and I am currently in the UK. I would like to continue helping students to achieve their dreams of gaining an engineering or science degree, finding a rewarding and satisfying job and then settling into a fabulous career, as I have.
I base my lessons entirely on the needs of each individual student, starting where they are confident, and building skills and understanding step by step. There will be some elements of precision teaching, alongside regular recapping and practice, using fun and games to reinforce new learning in an enjoyable way.
My lessons are learner centred as I cater to the needs of my students. I also try to link maths to the real world, so that my students can relate to the topics I teach. I provide learning materials such as worksheets and revision notes etc.
What the teachers do wrong at school is that they assume the student has understood or remembers certain topics and they take them for granted because they have a program to be completed by the end of the year. I know very well the feeling because I recently graduated as a MEng.
My name is Andrei. Maths and Physics were always my preferred subjects. This is reflected through my results as well as in my career. I would like to share my passion for the above with anyone interested and explain the above in simple words so everybody understands the principles. I am calm and patient and able to build a basic understanding from scratches.
From tutoring others over the 2 years of 6th form, I have developed a clear idea of what is required for exam preparation. In schools, the way maths concepts are taught are very rigid and fact/ memorization orientated, which is the main source of difficulty for students when they encounter something ‘unfamiliar’.
I have Advanced Diploma of the Associate of Business Executives (ABE); Masters in Business Administration (MBA) specialized in services marketing; Postgraduate Diploma of Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and a PhD, all from the UK universities.
I have been tutor since September 2015, went through GCSE past papers many times with several students in one to one sessions, tens of students of primary school (preparing for 11+ and boosting sessions). I delivered about 600 hours experience.
I am a recent Oxford graduate with a masters in Mathematics and Philosophy I have A*s at A levels in a range of sciences, and am comfortable teaching students right from starting secondary school up to A level I look forward to teaching you
Tutoring Approach: I fully believe in engaging the child and my approach is to tailor the education suitable for their needs. I plan and assess the individual and will target any issues or concerns that the child has. This approach will also enable me to identify any gaps in their learning.
My teaching method is to go through questions and past papers and explain why and how to solve problems rather than "just do it like this". I believe understanding rather than just memorising brings greater success. I am a calm, patient, personable person who enjoys Maths.
Aiming to help my students grasp the basics of the lesson's focus first. I understand the importance of examples to help reinforce whatever topic I am teaching. Aiming always to remain accessible and not leave in the class behind.
I'm an experienced teacher; having been a module demonstrator at the University of Exeter, a GCSE science/maths tutor and teaching Kung Fu. I start by looking at the syllabus of the students course and going through the theory required to ensure understanding of the principles required.
As with a lot of primary teaching, I incorporate a lot of methods to keep learning active. I include a lot of hands on learning in particular.
One to one study support or buddy tutoring for those who need to learn with their friends/another student. Study sessions tailored to the individual to cover at high level all components of the curriculum and more detailed study support for the areas that need to be further developed. Learning at the student's individual pace and structured learning plans.
My method of tutoring focuses on teaching the underlying concepts, from which students can build upon the specifics of their syllabus. I work with students in the areas they are struggling in most and focus on building up their confidence, step-by-step until they believe in their own ability.
Are you trying to increase your grade? Do you want to achieve more? I can help anyone whether they are struggling or whether they want to get the highest grade they can. My teaching is student-centred and based around the mastery model. I teach using methods that suit each individual's learning style - from games, quizes and investigations to drills and exercises.
I can adapt as to how you learn best, usually via examples and notes. I have developed different methods whilst being at university/school and these have worked best for me. Completing past papers seems to be the most efficient method.
I understand that we’re all unique which is why my method entails actually interacting with my students to discover and understanding the best way in which they learn to actually understand every topic so they can express themselves better because I believe understanding the process is key to learning to solve any problem.
I am a secondary school maths teacher with 4 years teaching experience. In addition to this I have been providing private maths tuition to many for 5 years with great success. After assessing each student I will work with them to ensure they reach their full potential.
I am a undergraduate student who has just completed her first year at Nottingham Trent University studying Music Performance. I am very patient and friendly. I got an A in Maths GCSE and did Maths Stats at A Level. Will be able to focus on topics of your choosing, I have many resources available.
Mathematics specialist tutor, Bsc Hons degree from a Russell Group University (currently teaching 11-18 in an academy). I have over 20 years of tutoring experience with students across the age and ability spectrum.
I am a University Graduate with a degree in BSc (Hons) Mathematics with Finance and Accounting from Queen Mary, University of London. I will be joining one of the Big 4 Accounting Firms in Canary Wharf as a graduate trainee ICAS Chartered Accountant in September 2018. I аm аvаilаble tо teаch Mаthemаtics tо students up tо A Level grаdes and the casual adult learner too.
My main focuses as a tutor are patience and practice; both for myself and my students. There are very few matters that cannot be understood or over come with a matter of time and commitment. I believe the best way that a tutor can help their students is by calmly reassuring them and providing alternative ways of visualising the content and then helping drill this in through practice examples.
I have done masters in business and BSC in maths and statistics . I have been teaching for around a year mostly Gcse Before that have done FSC in maths English physics and chemistry And senior Cambridge from Cambridge board I have been teaching male and females maths algebra and statistics and that have really helped them.
I am a young professional who is willing to tutor any enthusiastic students from as young as Year 1 all the way to Year 11. I will be able to help students achieve their targeted GCSE grades or even assist with their SATs. My lessons will be engaging and fun as I believe the only way you learn is if you enjoy what you’re doing.
I use a try and try again method, preferring to let my students make their own mistakes and then figure out how to fix them with gentle guidance, in comparison to simply telling them the answers. Todays exams are very focused on showing the working out, so I will show your child exam techniques eg. how to get maximum marks from a 5 mark question, even if your mind has gone blank.
Hi I'm a current A level Student, in Year 13 (UVI) , looking to tutor either online by email or Skype or in Buckinghamshire.
