My teaching method is to cater to the individual student by giving a summary at the end of each topic covered and revisiting certain, more difficult concepts. I will first teach the concepts in an engaging way and then to use past exam papers in order to demonstrate how the student will be assessed and pick up on any weaknesses he/she may have.
I give lessons to people all ages and from all backgrounds studying from the years 7-11 (secondary school students). My method of teaching follows a structured method. I first give an explanation of the topic, and then give a step by step method on how to solve an example problem. I then provide the student with practice questions and guide them through if they need any help.
My preferred teaching method reflects that of how I teach myself content, very structured and planned, which has been extremely successful at university so far. Preferably there is a plan of what to achieve and continuation is dependent on the achievement of objectives.
My teaching method is too let the student have fun while working so that it doesn't feel like work, as it should be enjoyable. We will go slowly through all the topics doing questions after each, and then tests every week on the previous week so they don't forget.
