Hello. I am Pete and I tutor physics and occasionally maths. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Physics and maths, including the Oxford PAT. - Tell me about your qualifications. I have a physics degree from Oxford University. - How much do you charge? £35/hour plus £5 travel, evenings and weekends. Cheaper rates available between 9 and 2:30 weekdays during term time.
I have taught students ranging from Year 7 to Year 11 in addition to A-level students. My methods are very flexible and are tailored to the student. I make sure to go at the student's pace and have no problems with starting from the very basics then building up the student's knowledge from there. I have normally taught one on one however I can teach small groups (1-3 students).
My teaching method is focusing directly on the main points of the lesson, which helps to connect the students quickly with the course, understanding the difficult points, and practicing on the important sections of the courses. Students achieve the best results with a Face-to face meeting .
- Classes With most school classes packed with 25-30 children, it doesn't take a Maths genius to work out how much one-to-one time your child is going to get with their teacher per hour. Our class sizes are 9 maximum, with an average of 6. Or you can choose one-to-one. - Ages and Levels Covered We provide tuition for children between the ages of 4-18.
My teaching methods are based on my student capabilities and their efficiency to adapt to different ways of learning. This is a brief list of the things I do with my students to improve their understanding of the subject: 1. Read from the book and try to extract and analyse key information in their mind. 2. Read again thoroughly highlighting key points and making brief and efficient notes.
I aim to tutor students anywhere from primary school level to A level standard. Having done mathematics for the past 13 years my teaching methods have been enhanced through my journey and my methodology consists of practise and repetition. Along side this I aim to deliver explanations and tricks to unorthodox maths questions that allow students to stand out from the rest of the candidates.
I am passionate about helping students overcome challenges in maths and master the subject. As a recently qualified teacher, I understand you want your child to attain the best possible results and I am dedicated to achieve this for all students. - Which subject(s) do you teach? A-level Maths, Further Maths. GCSE Maths, Physics. Higher Maths, Physics. IB Maths, Physics.
After initially determining the knowledge level and ability of the student, I design a tuition plan based upon those criteria. My philosophy is to ensure the student learns the core and fundamental concepts of a subject so that he/she then would be able to deal with any related problem, as opposed to just tackling a specific problem today.

Maths and Physics: As a student I have seen that these 2 topics are best learnt via examples which is why I employ a method that involves lots of step by step examples along with explanations through out the whole process.
With my strict teaching but constructive help for your children, I can give all the resources and help for you. Hello there, my name is Piyush Samgi and I am a year 12 student in Alperton Community School, studying Maths, Economics and Physics. I am here to help you improve your maths and have fun while doing so, instead of just learning a subject you would get bored with.
Full time tutor with 8000 hours experience over 15 years - Which subject(s) do you teach? I teach Physics, Maths, Science and Classical Flute. I cover all exam boards - AQA, Edexcel, OCR and ABRSM/Trinity Guildhall for flute. I teach undergraduate Mathematical Methods for Physicists and Game Theory.
My teaching method is to go through each topic individually using the textbooks that I personally found the most useful during my time at school, selecting the most useful questions for my students, to do and going through the answers together.
I am a Physics Master's student at UCL and the lessons I would teach would be for Physics and Maths AS and A Level students. The lessons would be based on the A Level syllabus and would help to consolidate the learning of the students as well as provide them with opportunities to try more challenging questions and further their understanding.

Hi there I'm bhavya and I will be going to university of Bristol to do computer science. I choose to do maths, further maths and physics for my a-levels. I teach from primary to a levels in maths and sciences.
I am a first-year student at Imperial College London studying Physics with Science Education. I teach students ranging from primary school to sixth form. My lessons focus on creating and achieving subject-specific goals which are relevant and individual to the student, helping to encourage a joy of learning.
I base my classes on the specification of maths from the board. I approach each topic by first breaking it down, working from the basics, working up to the complex parts and using past paper questions in doing so to allow for exam preparation.
I base my classes on the individual and tailor them to suit their needs. You won't see me checking the time or wanting to leave; the lesson ends once you grasp a concept entirely.
Initially I will work with the student to unsure he/she has a general and appropriate understanding of the topic of interest. In fact, during my studies, I have noted that the most efficient and rewarding method to understand Physics is to observe how it translates into the our environment, corresponding maths and equations in fact are just a merely description of such events.
I will cover the concepts on the syllabus depending on AQA/Edexcel/OCR and then offer many exam style questions and will make sure each content is covered and many questions are given...
my teaching techniques include giving the knowledge/ application in concise note form. I ask questions throughout the session. I also give multiple choice questions at the beginning of each session. once the class has finished I ask the class to do further reading on the topic from specific sources.
I am a motivated student who wants to continue my education in an environment where I will be challenged and can thrive.I have experience working under pressurised environments and have excellent teamwork and communication skills .
As Socrates told "I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think”. Thats my way. Everyone taken birth in this world has got a unique talent. Its the duty of teacher to bring it up by observing them. If learning is an endless process so the teaching should be.
I have taught Primary and Secondary level Maths and Science mostly in classrooms as well as one-to-one tuition during my 5+ years as a teacher in an English school in Kathmandu. (Guessed where it is?) While I do have my methods and techniques that work for majority of students in a classroom, when it comes to tutoring one-on-one, every student learns in a different way.
I approach each topic carefully ensuring the students will understand completely, then move onto more challenging questions and exam practice, to ensure no question can throw the students off the ball. I feel exam practice is key for a good score in any exam at any level.
