Methodology
I approach each student differently, pertaining to their unique needs and abilities.
- I create a tailored syllabus, firstly covering areas that they struggle with and moving to challenging them above and beyond their curriculum.
- I usually have an organised lesson plan with regular essays and mini-tests set to gauge progress and aid familiarity with the exam process.
- I also help students create detailed and useful notes throughout with the aim to make revision a breeze (and even fun!). As I took the new specification of GCSE myself, I can offer my own notes that have led to my success in these exams.
Experience
I am a student with 2 years' experience tutoring GCSE and IGCSE History, Geography and English (each pupil receiving 9s in these) as well as helping prep students for interviews in Politics and PPE, for which I received an offer at Oxford this year.
I myself attend North London Collegiate School and have received recognition in national essay-writing contests such as The Economist's Open Future Competition (Economics), Oxford University's Julia Wood (History) Prize and Cambridge University's Vellacott (History) Prize; I can therefore adequately help others with their writing technique. My writing has also been published in online political sites such as ShoutOutUK and philosophy-based SCOPE.
I am a lover of the social sciences and hope to inspire others with a similar passion as well as a mere ability in their chosen subject.

Ananya is an intelligent, personable, hardworking and dedicated tutor. She really has boosted my confidence (and ability!) in History. I never feel 'stupid' in lessons nor am I ever afraid to ask a question. She goes above and beyond teaching you the syllabus and I would recommend her to everyone with complete confidence.
