I base my teaching on giving the student what they want with a friendly and relaxed approach so that they can really enjoy this time learning with me. I believe in a steady but well paced and organised way of learning which can be adapted to individual needs.
My usual teaching style is Vinyasa (flow yoga), Hatha (slow strengthening yoga) and Restorative (mind focused relaxation). I'm so happy to be able to offer you Restorative yoga in a safe supportive environment so that you can completely relax in each pose on comfy props and practice the art of conscious relaxation. I believe that yoga is so much more than the physical postures (asana).
I begin every class with a brief meditation to cultivate a sense of calm, before moving into the warm up, sun salutations, then asana sequence, ending with a guided meditation and optional head/face massage to aid with deeper relaxation. I also offer a sound healing with singing bowl section at the end of the class to allow for deeper tranquillity and peace.
As a qualified yoga instructor of Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin yoga, I strive to create inclusive classes for everyone to feel comfortable in their practice, learn essential postures, slow down and turn their attention inward. I offer proper alignment cues, variations and adjustments to my students to ensure a safe practice. In my classes.
Drawing on ancient wisdom from various spiritual traditions I weave together practices which help us cultivate and re-establish our connection to the body through movement, breath practice and meditation. My aim is to hold safe, judgment-free spaces for people in all walks of life to find greater ease of being through awareness and acceptance.
My teaching method focuses on connecting deeply with ourselves through the movement and flow of yoga. I like to make my classes active and have elements of fitness entwined within the practice, but with an importance of a guided meditation and realignment at the closing of the practice.
I particularly enjoy helping people to improve their mobility and flexibility, and have a keen eye for form and injury prevention. With the prevalence of anxiety and stress related illness, I believe that yoga can be beneficial for a large variety of clients. With minimal space requirements, it is an ideal form of exercise to do from the comfort of your own home.
Bespoke lessons are designed to suit your needs, your body and your mind. I teach Yin, Hatha or Vinyasa Flow Yoga as well as Meditation (if these terms are not familiar to you- don't worry! I can explain). I teach via webcam or in your own home, or feel free to get in touch about my current classes.
I will design my flows/classes depending on who the target is and what they would really like to focus on. I will also build lessons with an intention or a target e.g restfullness, a quote of the day, a different part to work on so that the student comes away learning something new.
Victoria teaches Yin Yoga, a quiet mindful practise that allows you to relax deeply as well as feel energised. The long, slow poses in Yin Yoga give you time to listen to your body, releasing tension and calming your mind. The deep stretch also penetrates the connective tissue in areas so many of us have problems with, such as the back and hips, helping them to become stronger.
As a Sports Therapist I apply Western science to the practice of Yoga and design classes based on my understanding of human anatomy, physiology and the muscular skeletal system.

I care about empowering people in giving themselves the space and tools they need to delve a little deeper into what they want and why they do the things they do. This can be as simple as just taking some time to tune into the breath to developing a regular movement and meditation practice.
My teaching method is highly adaptive to group or individual sessions. I focus on anatomy and alignment to make for a safe practice, always instructing with modifications.
