I personally believe that making and repeatedly condensing notes is the best way to revise, followed by supervised past papers as exams approach. Of course everyone learns differently though, so flexibility of method is important. I reccomend doing a few sessions creating and revising your notes followed by supervised lessons covering past papers and Mark schemes.
I will cover whichever topics are required by the student and will create my own questions that allows for the student to still be able to use questions from textbooks that they may have
I'm a primary teacher by trade but I've been teaching functional skills to 16-18 year olds over the past three years. I have a proven track record of delivering interesting lessons to enhance the understanding of my learners at the college where I work at. My teaching method is intense, real life scenarios and I love to break the sums down to stories and diagrams.
My teaching style is based on individual or small group mentoring and is largely dependent on the students and their needs. Beginning sessions focus on getting to know their strengths and weaknesses and then working from there.
My method when it comes to teaching is to ensure the absolute basics are perfect, then work upwards from there; without the basics students will often struggle towards the higher end of the syllabus however they often don't realise that they're missing vital basic knowledge.
My teaching is structured so that I cover all corners of the specification for most of the British exam boards. However, if my students have specific problems, I am happy to help them to solve these, and make sure that they understand the methodology and mathematics behind the questions.
My teaching method is to make maths enjoyable through real life examples and exam questions to strengthen the child’s learning
My teaching methodology is to initially understand the areas you are keen to focus on, and then read up prior to our lesson, ensuring I am thoroughly prepared to guide you step by step to arrive at the solution. I am most keen to deliver lessons to GCSE and AS/A2 level students, as i have thorough experience with most examined topics across the major exam boards such as OCR, AQA, and Edexcel.

My teaching method is quite simple as I ask the individual what they need to work on and then I show them the method and prepare questions for them to complete. I teach maximum up to GSCE level, including Secondary School and Primary Education. I have recently completed my GCSEs and so I know the required level that students will have to work and so I have some experience.
My teaching method is very flexible, I alter it to the students needs, therefore structure the lessons accordingly. I mostly give lessons to GCSE and A level students, happy to tutor secondary school students too. I recognise the best methods of teaching for each individual and ensure they are happy with the lesson structure and methods used.
I enjoy teaching in a more 'old school' way. I'm very interactive and ensure the pupil is understanding what i am teaching whilst also making the lessons fun. I am open to teaching anyone however my expertise is best suited for Primary and Secondary school students. I typically help the pupil enjoy the subject which ultimately makes them want to do well: you will see results.
MY TEACHING METHODS VARY DEPENDING ON THE STUDENT I AM TEACHING AND HOW THEY LEARN I WILL ADAPT TO THEIR STYLES. THIS COULD BE VIA IMAGERY SUCH AS PRESENTATIONS ,PAST PAPERS AND OTHER METHODS WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT BE REPETITIVE.
I do class room based (1-2-1 / group session); I relate the real world experience to teach maths and science.
Can focus on any aspect of maths with practice questions and by doing past papers with extra help on anything needed
I currently study Mathematics at University and give lessons to GCSE/A levels students in and around Birmingham. I intend to instil a passion for knowledge and bring out the intrinsic curiosity of my students. Never will a student find themselves being patronised, only encouraged and given a fertile ground upon which to grow.
My teaching method is based on assessments, real time, face to face up skilling in all areas covered in the GCSE and functional skills qualifications. Methods of teaching varies and is tailor made to the needs and requirements of the student. This could be via video, workbooks, practice papers and past exam papers.
I am a qualified teacher with experience of taking students through their GCSEs at both Higher and Foundation levels. In 2011 I became an Edexcel Examiner so that I could offer my students further insights into how marks on exam papers are gained. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Maths: 11+/KS2/KS3/GCSE/Adult - Tell me about your qualifications.
I work on a "find fault and fix" methodology after the learner has completed an Initial and diagnostic assessment. I work with individual learners at their pace, seeking to overcome their "obstacles" to understanding and mastery of mathematics. The learner is at the centre of my approach to teaching/tutoring.
I allow time in each session for the pupil to be independent, but also give valuable feedback to move the learning on.
I aim to get students working on exam style questions as quickly as possible in order to get used to the style of answering questions seen in exams. I focus on making sure the theory is sound firstly and then just working on past papers and utilizing the markschemes in order to achieve the most marks possible.
I’m a hard working teacher who adapts his lessons to the person he is teaching. I can make things fun and exciting for the younger pupil and I can be straight talking and to the point for the older more mature pupil. Every lesson involves challenge for my pupil and a chance for them to demonstrate what they have learnt.
Im a Maths university student looking to teach primary school to alevel students. I believe a student learns Maths the best by understanding what the theorms mean rather than memorising methods.
I'm a fully qualified & experienced Teacher & Tutor of Science (Biology, Chemistry & Physics) & Maths at GCSE, A level & Undergraduate Level. I offer one-to-one tuition for people serious about succeeding in their studies. I assess each student at the beginning and negotiate a starting point for tuition based upon initial performance & aspirations.
My method of teaching is always adapted to suit the student that I am teaching at that time. I make all sessions fun and light hearted to make more sessions memorable and therefore learning memorable. All teaching and learning is personalised through the delivery of content and activities.
My tutoring style differs based on the needs of the student! The sessions are led by you... Some tutees like to go through homework they may have from school. Some gcse maths students like to practise lots of past papers and go through them together. Some parents may wish for their child to be assessed and then I can cater for their weak areas.
I spend my first session with students getting to know them and their strengths and weaknesses. I will make my lessons individual to the student, I also do a lot of past exam papers. I have found this really helps the students with not only their mathematic skill but also their confidence with exams.
During lessons i first like to recap what we did in the previous lesson then tell the student what i am going to teach them this lesson and then teach it to them before recapping what we just learnt. This is a known teaching practice which helps the student subconsciously process the information by repeating it four times over two lessons.
I have taught students of various ages in a variety of different subjects and countries. I have taught English in China, Mathematics in Germany and Business Studies in the UK. I have been privately tutoring for a while now and have helped students increase their grades by more than 70%. I specialise in English, Maths and Business Studies.
I find students learn and progress better with visual and practical teaching methods as well as working within groups. I never give up till the child is achieving at the level they are meant to be at. Studying maths development within early years has given me the knowledge needed to get a better understanding at how children progress numbers and shapes.
