I have a degree in English Literature and Drama from the University of Manchester and am looking to teach primary and secondary level students. I am engaging and fun (at least I like to think so!) and have experience working with children of different ages and also children with special needs. My methodology would depend on the teaching age and also the aims of the lessons.
After having achieved grade 9 for both Literature and Language GCSE, I decided I would like to share my passion for English with others. My teaching approach is one of patience, I like to be open-minded, considering alternative interpretations to any text studied, as that is part of the beauty of the subject.
The role of teaching takes on a broad responsibility of educating a student creatively, intellectually and emotionally. As an artist, with poetry and philosophy forming the backbone to my approach, I will be able to guide the student to cope with any anxieties, fears and apprehensions they may have when completing work. Pressure and stress can stall a person's ability to think.
I am hard working and patient, i will never give up on some one until i fell they have reached their full potential. I am kind and will never be harsh and always make sure the student feels comfortable and are not afraid to get an answer wrong and i will give my everything to ensure that the student gets to where they want to be. i work well with all ages from primary to secondary.
I have worked as a school teacher for many years and have also marked GCSE Language and Literature papers for two leading exam boards. I design lessons that will help fill in gaps in a student's skills and understanding.
As a classroom teacher, form tutor and in-school mentor I have seen the individuality of student and value their differences. I aim to give student as many learning opportunities and experiences as possible in order to engage, motivate and prepare them for future life.

I'm a student at the University of Leeds, studying English literature and French, and I teach primary and secondary school pupils in the above subjects.
I plan my classes and set homework depending on students needs. The way I structure tutoring is that my homework is structured revision.
I am a fully qualified English teacher with eighteen years’ experience of teaching English in secondary school, teaching ages 11 to 18, with specialisms in A level teaching, literacy teaching for younger students struggling with reading and writing, as well as second language English speakers.
I enjoy delivering 3-4 part English literature and language lessons to 11-18 year olds. My methodology is to use a pupil's prior learning and knowledge of the world in addition to exam board mark schemes, to fill in any gaps and perfect pupil's technical language in a way that that they can fully understand.
My teaching methods are based on each individual student and how they learn.
I’m a student myself, with 2 A*s At English GCSE with a thorough love for English and love teaching people through challenging but memorable methods. Using basic methods suchas read cover & write to more challanging methods that will really stick with my tutee.
My name is Caitlin Fennessy and I am a year 13 student currently studying 3 A Levels in English Literature, Sociology and Psychology. I am willing to tutor primary school children in English, Reading and phonics. I am very organised, hard working and punctual.
As I just finished school in June 2017, I will be able to confidently tutor both primary and secondary school children with ranging abilities especially as I have recently gone through the school examination system. As a tutor, I will manage my lessons in a way that suits the inidivdual student and helps them to engage.
Before teaching any student, I like to sit with them and find out a little bit about there own personal strengths and weaknesses based on a chosen subject. I would then plan each lesson to ensure that the student feels like they have left with more knowledge and a more positive outlook on an area of weakness to the point where they no longer consider it a weakness.
I Teach a range of students starting from Primary school to A-levels. I usually have my own resources based on the new specs of the exam board. If a student requires revision, then I can provide them with exam questions and help with revision notes. If a student wants general help, that can be done too.
Most of my students do not enjoy the subject when I first meet them. My aim is to find an area of the subject that links to something they enjoy. Through this, I feel that a connection can be made and an improvement in the subject is extremely attainable.
I try to get my students engaged in the literature we are reading by helping them to see how the work can relate to them. The best authors deal with universal themes and it is about tapping into the psychology of the author and the reader to find where that mutual connection lies.
My teaching method varies on the student and their needs. I feel a varied range of methods works most efficiently for children.
I am 18 years old and would love the opportunity to help and teach younger children. I’ve worked in primary schools and nurseries and would love to carry on working.
An enthusiastic tutor with a passion for the Humanities, I am currently working on a PhD thesis at Queen Mary University of London, and hold an MA and BA from the University of Bristol. I believe in encouraging pupils to take charge of their own learning and to critically evaluate their own work to achieve their full potential.
My teaching method is collaborative, working with students to pinpoint specific learning needs and developing a programme of study based on this. I believe on building on strengths and providing adequate practice of a skill. My approach is fully supportive of the individual and their needs.
I will adjust my teaching methods off each individual student because I believe each person will learn in a unique and special way
I formulate plans and classes focusing on the student's issue with the subject and try and find a solution that personally suits the student. I will constantly be checking and reviewing the student's work in order to ensure their progress.
My main expertise lies in teaching reading, writing and spelling to primary school pupils, including those with additional needs. I believe that it is important to continuously assess progress made, in order to review the effectiveness of teaching techniques and provide parents and children with accurate feedback.
I take a holistic approach to teaching so my lessons will always be targeted at student's weaknesses to help them improve. I am able to build a positive rapport with all my student's which has enabled me to make pupils realise their full potential.
I am an enthusiastic, highly organised and dedicated tutor who has a passion for finding creative ways to explain difficult concepts and seeing my students gain confidence and make progress in areas they previously found difficult. I tutor children from primary age up to undergraduate degree level. I also tutor children in 11+ entrance exam preparation.
