A rhomboid has opposite sides that are parallel and equal.

Area of a Rhomboid

The area of a rhomboid is equal to its base multiplied by its height.

A = b · h

Perimeter of a Rhomboid

P = 2 · (a + b)

Example

Find the area and perimeter of a rhomboid which has sides of 4 and 4.5 cm in length and a height of 4 cm.

P = 2 · (4.5 + 4) = 17 cm

A = 4 · 4 = 16 cm²
